Samurai Champloo Season 2 is the definition of waiting. Its fan-base has been waiting for a second season since 2005. 15 years in the waiting and there’s no word from Manglobe Studios. Shinichiro Watanabe is the creator of the show and is known for only doing two shows; Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. Here’s everything we know about the show and what we expect.
Samurai Champloo Season 2: Storyline
The story revolves around three characters; Fuu, Jin, and Mugen. How they meet is very interesting. Fuu works as a waitress in a small teashop. One day, her clumsiness gets the better of her and she spills the tea on one of her customers.
As a result of that, she has to deal with a group of samurais constantly harassing her. So, she asks Mugen, another samurai to help. He quickly defeats those samurai but picks a fight with Jin. Samurai Champloo Season 2 coming soon?

Jin uses a more traditional style and beats Mugen. However, during the fight, they wreck the tea shop and accidentally kill a local magistrate’s son. So, Mugen and Jin get sentenced to execution. Fuu rescues them and asks them to help her find another samurai. They are hesitant at first but eventually agree. The story follows the events that follow which are full of comedy, action, and Fuu trying to stop Jin and Mugen from killing each other. Samurai Champloo Season 2 will start from here?
Why do We expect It Now?
The show has a very realistic ending because the show is about the journey, not the end. As mentioned above, Fuu is looking for a samurai, who is actually her father. When she finds him, he is already dying and his life is quickly ended by an assassin.

She never gets to fully realize what she wanted to do when she reunites with her father. Jin defeats a master swordsman and Jin does what he does; killing a bunch of enemies.
The thing to note is that they are all different people now, The journey has changed them and in the end, we see them parting ways. But they do not part ways in a sad manner. They can be seen smiling. This shows that there is more ahead because the journey hasn’t ended.
As a result of this, we believe the journey will continue in Samurai Champloo Season 2 if it does happen and it should. Seeing their journeys after their experiences would be very satisfying.

Samurai Champloo Season 2: Release Date
There is no official release date and the way things look, there won’t be. However, we are hopeful. This show has a decent fan-following that isn’t looking for another season because of a need for closure but to experience another journey.
Samurai Champloo did a good job closing out the show and not leaving it on a cliffhanger. So, when a release date for Samurai Champloo Season 2 does get announced, it is expected to be a whole new journey for the fans to immerse themselves in.
