At present, the series comprises 4 seasons with 40 episodes. The Crown Season 5 has been Confirmed. Also, there are speculations about a sixth installment for The Crown.
The Crown Season 5 Storyline
The story is focused on Queen Elizabeth II. Every season depicts a certain timeline of her life. The show portrays the lives of royals and events like her wedding to Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Winston Churchill’s resignation in 1955, Suez Crisis in 1956, Margaret Thatcher’s period and many more.
The Crown season 5 Official Release Date Announcement
Currently, there is no official release date for The Crown season 5. But Sources suggest that Netflix will renew The Crown for a sixth installment also. The filming or production process will start in June of 2021. It can be assumed that season 5 will arrive in 2022 or 2023. The producers had planned this gap period from the beginning. Hence, the pandemic has nothing to do with the time break.
