The series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is probably at the top of the list of Isekai animes. If you’re into the whole reincarnation and fantasy world deal, then you cannot miss out on this show! There are few names in the anime world that one just knows despite not having a clue what they are all about. This series is definitely one of those names.
The anime adaptation is based on the light novels and the mangas of the same name written by Fuse. The first season had 24 episodes and its broadcast began on Tokyo MX and other channels from 2 October 2019. The original release date for the second season was supposed to be in October 2020 but it was postponed to January 2021 eventually. The Official English account of the show posted an update about the confirmation on 2 October 2020.

A lot of content related to this series is coming up in the near future. The second season was originally meant to be released in October 2020, however, it was postponed due to the pandemic. The new slated date for the release is 12 January 2021. The second cour of the second season will follow in July 2021 and the spin-off series titled “The Slime Diaries” will come out in April 2021.

After being stabbed to death by a criminal, Satoru Mikami, a corporate worker in Tokyo is reincarnated as a Slime in a parallel world. In this new-found world of his, Satoru seems to have acquired special abilities, one of them being referred to as “Predator’. Upon reincarnation, his life takes a U-turn. He goes from living a monotonous life to being a supernatural creature named Rimuru Tempest, who eventually becomes the talk of the town.
