Nanbaka is a Japanese Anime series produced by NHN Play Art, directed by Shinji Takematsu and written by Mitsutaka Hirota. The anime started airing on 5th October 2016 and ran till 28 December 2016. The second season premiered on 4th January 2017 to 22 March 2017. The show has 13 episodes in the first season and 12 episodes in the second, bringing the total to 25. Fans are also expecting Nanbaka Season 3 to release very soon.
Nanbaka Season 3 Storyline
The show features a group of four inmates named Jyugo, Uno, Rock, and Nico. All of them try to escape in the pilot episode but are stopped by the prison warden. At the end of the 1st season, Jyugo and his cellmates try to escape again but are stopped at the boundary by Hajime. Jyugo decided to stay and protect the inmates inside rather than leave.
In the first episode of the second season, a Random Hair Color Syndrome gets spread throughout the prison. At the end of the second season, Kiji handcuffs the inmates, who were trying to escape, but she and Jyugo and Hajime are confronted by a group of surveillance dolls.

As of writing, there is no confirmation about the new season only rumors going around. According to the rumors, the next season is going to feature 12 episodes. It is also theorized that the third season will pick up from the seventh and eighth volumes of the manga. The Studio’s official Twitter account also asked support from the fans for the third season to come, via Twitter.
Nanbaka Cast
The Cast members will likely remain the same for the next season. Yute uemura as Jyugo, Tetsuya Kakihara as Uno, Tomokazu Seki as Hajime Sugoroku, Daiki Kobayashi as Nico, Airu Shiozaki as Rock, Keito Okuyama as Seitarou Tanabata, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Yamato Godai, Kyle Igneczi as Honey, and others should be reprising their roles from season 2. Daisuke Kishio as Elf can also probably be expected to make a cameo appearance.
Nanbaka Season 3 Release Date
As of writing there is no confirmation about the release date of the new season, but according to rumors and speculations, it has to be somewhere around mid-2021 and late-2021, bearing in mind all the production hassles they have to go through and the COVID-19 Pandemic has brought the entire entertainment industry to a standstill. SOo the best guess would be the above-mentioned time period.
