Love in the Moonlight is a South Korean Romantic and Coming of Age story, directed by Kim Sung-Yoon and Baek Sang-Hoon. It is based on the novel Moonlight Drawn By Clouds written by Isu Yoon. It had aired 18 episodes from August 22 2016 to October 18 2016 on KBS. Fans are waiting for Love in the Moonlight Season 2 to return and Here are the latest updates.
Love in the Moonlight Season 2 Storyline
The main two characters of the show are Crown Prince Lee Yeong and the eunuch, who is actually a woman, Hong Ra-On. At the end of the series, Kim Yoon-Sung, a scholar belonging to a powerful family dies. Also, the Crown Prince Lee Yeong becomes the king with Hong Ra-On by his side, and Kim Byung Yeon there to protect him.
The Official Announcement
The show was very popular, to the extent that media named the popularity of the show as “Moonlight Syndrome”, it is fascinating considering that the studios have not officially announced a new season. As the show is popular and there are various episodes from the life of Lee Yeong that can be considered for adaptation, we expect the show to announce a new season in the upcoming months.
The Cast
The main cast should be back for a new season, which includes Park Bo-Gum as Lee Yeong, Kim Yoo-Jung as Hong Ra, Chae Soo-Bin as Jo Ha-Yeon, Kwak Dong-Yeon as Kim Byung Yeon can all be expected to come back. Jinyoung as Kim Yoon-sung can also come back in flashback sequences. Actors who played the younger versions of the characters can also come back, like Jung Yun-Seok as Young Yeong, Kim Ji–Young as Young Ra-On, Lee Hyo-Je as Young Yoon Sung, and Noh Kang-min as Young Byung-Yeon.
Love in the Moonlight Season 2 Release Date
No dates have been announced for a new season, but there is a 70% chance that we might be getting a new season, based on the “Moonlight Syndrome.” Our best guess for the show to come out would be somewhere around mid-2022 to late 2022.
