About Locked Up
Locked Up also known as ‘Vis A Vis’. It is a Spanish thriller drama by Globomedia. The series contains 5 seasons and 40 episodes in total. Locked Up was aired on 20th April 2015 on Antena 3. Then the network changed to Fox Spain in 2018. The fifth season titled as ‘Vis a vis: El oasis’ broadcasted in 2020. Due to the popularity of the show, Netflix acquired the rights of the show. And Netflix is Gearing Up for Locked Up Season 6.
Locked Up Season 6 Storyline
The show is about prison life. The focus is on Macarena. She commits many crimes after falling in love with her. She was sentenced 7 years of punishment and ultimately ended up in prison. Now Macarena has to adapt to this life. The other main character is Zulema. She is also called as Queen of prison due to her past and personality. She was given lifetime imprisonment as punishment for her crimes. Zulema is very manipulative and many are afraid of her including prison officials. Macarena and Zulema are rivals in the series.
Season 6 Release Date
Season 5 for Locked Up was premiered back in the year 2020. The show is quite popular worldwide. Despite the change in cast and networks, it has gained 5 seasons. Fans can expect information about the sixth season in 2021 or 2022. There is no official announcement regarding season 6. The chances are quite low but a comeback is always a possibility.
