Christopher Meloni who also starred in The diary of a teenage girl is in the lead role along with Lili Mirojnick and Patrick Fischer. Directed by Brian Taylor who directed The Crank(2006) and Ghost rider(2011). The dark comedy series set the stage in a fire when first released in 2017. Lead character Nick Sax awakens from a nightmare in a hospital.HE teams up with a little blues flying horse who calls himself happy to protect his kidnapped daughter. Season 1 dropped in 2017 and become a hit as soon as it was released. With its brutal and dark comedy, it’s full of action. The two Nick and happy seem to make a cute and adventurous partner. critics said the series was exciting, adventurous, suspenseful, and funny.
Season two received a bit of criticism, critics said the show was moreover the same as season one. After watching season two a lot of audiences praised season one for its storyline due to which the viewership of season 2 received a huge drop. The writing was weak, the story was predictable and repetitive.

There has been an official statement from SyFy that there will not be Happy Season 3. The news that there will be no season 3 came in 2019. There was a huge drop in the rating of season 2 as compared to season one. Viewership dropped by about 54%. Another reason for the cancellation of the show was the coronavirus pandemic. Many shows of SyFy were canceled like Deadly Class, Channel Zero, etc and Happy is one of them.
If the creators decide to bring back season three, it would be interesting to see how the storyline proceeds further. Some say if season 3 were to come we can expect season 3 in late 2022 or early 2023.
