A Thumps Up For Season 4!
No doubt this is happening! We all have never ever thought of American Idol being put on the backburner and not getting a renewal. Well, this is true this time too. Yes, the Fremantle’s singing show got a renewal confirmation for season 4 at ABC before its finale’s live premiere. The popular reality will have a 19th stint next year as Fox was the platform where it started airing in 2002 till 2016 before joining ABC.
Judges And Host: Is Kety Perry Returning?
On Friday, when the announcement was made, we haven’t heard anything about the judges or host reprising their roles. Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie are the judges this time, and Ryan Seacrest is holding the role of host. The lurking doubt is about Perry, who is pregnant and expecting her child in summer.
Finale For Running Season
The running season is going to announce the winner for this year on Sunday, live on the East Coast broadcast. The music sensation will be announced when the nation votes for the last time and will firstly eliminate two contestants from the list to give the top five to the show, after which the music sensation of the year would be awaited.
The Finale Performances
The performance at the finale would be a talk of town like always. The star-studded night would have Perry performing her newly released song “Daisies,” Bryan catching on his recent one “One Margarita,” Richie will have a performance with fellow judges and top 11 on “We are the World.”
The performance list includes some other names too, and these are Lauren Daigle, Rascal Flatts, and Doug Kiker, Aretha Franklin, and Cynthia Erivo.
Notably, the show recently came back to airing on 26th April with a remotely produced episode after the end of lockdown.
