Altered Carbon is an American CyberPunk TV Series, created by Laeta Kalogridis and produced by John G.Lenic. The show is based on a novel of the same name by Richard K.Morgan. The show has two seasons in the books, with 9 episodes in each season. The first season premiered on February 2 2018 and the second season wrapped things up on February 27, 2020. The show is set up in the year 2348, in a fictional city of Bay City. In this time period, a person’s memories and consciousness can be saved into a disk, which is called a cortical stack, which gets implanted at the back of the neck. These stacks can then be transferred to a new person after their death. This means that a person can live forever. However, this technology is only being used by the rich.
Takeshi Kovacs is the sole survivor of the rebel group Envoys, they were defeated in an uprising against the New World Order. However, his stack gets pulled out by a 300-year-old Meth Laurens, Meth offers him a new chance at life, only if he can solve the murder of Meth.

Unfortunately, Altered Carbon Season 3 has been canceled. According to Hollywood Reporter, “unexpected budget increases” due to the pandemic, uncertainty over air dates, and the complications of managing such a big cast was the reason for Season three being axed.

Altered Carbon Season 3 Release Date
There is no release date for Season 3 available as the show has already been canceled. At this point, all we can do is re-watch the series and write fan-fictions of how the show would have continued after the second season.
