Mindhunter is a heart chilling Netflix drama. Recently it has been confirmed that the web series will be renewed for the third season by sources.
This series twirls around the crime thriller genre. It goes on to be dark and darker. The first two seasons of Mindhunter were successful to receive a positive response from the audience. The show revolves around FBI agents trying their fullest of potential to catch the criminals. The strategies they use to catch the culprits are truly mind-boggling. The first season was released by Netflix on 13th October 2017.
The previous two seasons were already confirmed by the management in the year 2016. So the news of the renewal of the third season has surprised the fans. This web series is inspired by a true crime book, Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit, written by Mark Olshaker and John Douglas. Two FBI experts Bill Tench and Holden Ford, involve themselves to catch the criminals. They try to internalize and study their target’s personality and mindset.
The third season has not been renewed yet. The director, David Fincher, is busy with other projects currently. The future of Mindhunter is put on hold for now. The producers of the show have taken a step back. Although there has been no progress currently, there are rumors that it will be renewed in the future. We are not sure when, but what we know is that it won’t be anytime soon. If the filming of the second season is about to start in 2021, then it will take about eight months to wrap up. Season three would not be available before 2022.
Many actors have been terminated their contracts from the series. Few of the actors who have been set free are Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, and Anna Tory.
