B: The Beginning Season 2 Official Announcement

On 5th June 2018, at the Annecy International Festival of Animated Film, Netflix announced that the second season is coming. This is what Production IG CEO Mitsuhisa Ishikawa said about season 2: “I’d like to see Season 2 if this is the case.”  “It will be a pity for both the viewers and Netflix to end in Season 1. So if you can ask for a continuation, it will be our pleasure as the creator.” No other information was announced about the new season.

B: The Beginning CastB: The Beginning Season 2 Release Date & Everything You Need To Know About it

As already mentioned, Season 2 is confirmed, but no other details have been announced. So, our best guess would be that most of the cast members from Season 1 should be back for the second season.

Hiroaki Hirata as Keith Kazama Flick, Yuki Kaji as Koko, Asami Seto as Lily Hoshina, Hiroki Tochi as Eric Toga, Minoru Inaba as Boris Meier, Ami Koshimizu as Kaela Yoshinaga, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Brian Brandon, Shintaro Tanaka as Mario Luis Zurita, Atsushi Goto as Jean-Henri  Richard, Yu Kitada as Laica, Kaito Ishikawa as Minatsuki should be back for the new season, along with some few new additional cast members. Even though the character of Gilbert Ross was killed in the first season, Toshiyuki Morikawa’s presence cannot be ruled out, as he could still be resurrected or could appear in flashback scenes.

B: The Beginning Season 2 Release Date

It was predicted that the new season would come back in 2020, but due to COVID-19 Pandemic delays, it was probably pushed back, as all TV shows have been. Right now, the best guess would be somewhere around mid-2021 to late 2021. There have also been no reports of filming taking place, so nothing can be said for sure, everything is up in the air.
