The fourth season of ‘Better Things’ just dropped its 5 episodes, with the recent one dropping on 26 March 2020. The show is created by Pamela Adlon and even stares at her as the protagonist. Better Things is about Sam Fox (Adlon), a divorced actress who raises her three daughters on her own.
The show opened to a very well-received one, from both the audience as well as the critics. The daughters are played by Mikey Madison as Max Fox, Hannah Alligood as Frankie Fox, Olivia Edward as Duke Fox. Celia Imrie plays the role of Phil, the daughters’ grandmother. The light-hearted series is all filled with awkward, often capricious, but always kind-hearted moments among Sam Fox and her daughters. But not just them, also between her friends, colleagues and even Xander, her ex-husband (played by Matthew Glave).
Better Things Season 4: Released Episodes Til Now
In the fifth episode of the fourth season, Sam, Sam’s mother Phil and daughter Frankie are enjoying a late-night snack. They are discussing from which part of the family Sam inherited her chronic hand pain. Where Frankie cuts in that she would “firmly” hold it against Sam if she had the conversation with complete strangers. This shows the struggle of Sam and Frankie holding up to that peace which was instigated between them at the end of the third season.
Better Things Season 4: Further Expectations
The end of the fifth episode in the new season brings up that the focus of upcoming episodes will be on how Sam adjusts to Max becoming an adult. Also with the certainty that Frankie and Duke following the footsteps of their eldest sister. But Frankie’s comments also emphasize Sam’s interest in the lives of people she’s just met and, thus, the show’s. At the end of the day, Sam’s trying hard to earn a living, maneuver her daughters’ diversifying lives. Also trying to endure her family, have fun with friends and also just squeeze in some private time.
