J.C.Staff has brilliantly presented the anime adaptation of the popular light novel series, DanMachi. Fujino Ōmori wrote the light novel series, while Suzuhito Yasuda illustrated the series. Apart from the anime series, the light novel series has been adapted into two manga series. The first season of the anime television series was released in 2015, but it took four years to release the second season. The animation studio has confirmed DanMachi Season 3 for 2020 release.
DanMachi Season 3: Official Announcement
DanMachi is officially returning for the third season. The studio, on September 27, 2019, announced the third season along with an OVA episode. The creators believe that the fans at least deserve another DanMachi season. Unfortunately, the studio delayed the original release date of the third season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

DanMachi Season 3: Release Date
DanMachi Season 3 is coming but had to suffer a roadblock before successfully starting the broadcast. The studio previously planned to release the third season in July 2020, but they were forced to delay due to coronavirus. In the same month, the studio decided the series will premiere in the Fall 2020 season instead of the original Summer 2020 season. As per the latest reports, the third season will start airing on October 2, 2020.
DanMachi Season 3: Cast
Hideki Tachibana overtook the directorial duty from Yoshiki Yamakawa for the anime’s second season. He will continue for the third season as well. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is returning to provide the voice for the anime’s protagonist Bell Carnell. Meanwhile, Saori Ōnishi will give the voice-over of Bell’s love interest and a powerful swordswoman Ais Wallenstein.
The other characters who will return in DanMachi Season 3 are Lilliluka Arde (Maaya Uchida ), Welf Crozzo (Yoshimasa Hosoya), Mikoto Yamato (Chinatsu Akasaki), Haruhime Sanjōno (Haruka Chisuga), Loki (Yurika Kubo), and Finn Deimne (Mutsumi Tamura).
DanMachi Season 3: Storyline
The anime tells the story of a solo-adventurer, Bel Carnell. In the world where all the gods came down to live with a commoner, a goddess Hestia, takes Carnell under her hood. Bell adventures on various dungeons to defeat the monstrous and take their crystal shards. As the story proceeds, Hestia, along with other deities, gets attracted to Carnell. But Carnell fell in love with the powerful swordswoman from the Loki family, Ais Wallenstein.
The third season will pick up from the end of the second season, where unbeknownst to Bell, Hestia, and Ais, a mysterious monster girl awakens in the dungeon.
