About Elite Season 4
Elite is a Spanish thriller teen drama television series. Created for Netflix by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona, the series is set in Las Encinas, a fictional elite secondary school. The story revolves around three working-class teenage students (enrolled at the school through a scholarship) and their wealthy classmates.
The series features María Pedraza, Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Álvaro Rico, Arón Piper, Mina El Hammani, Ester Expósito, Omar Ayuso, and Danna Paola. Jorge López, Claudia Salas, Georgina Amorós, Sergio Momo, Leïti Sène, Carla Díaz, Manu Ríos, Martina Cariddi, and Pol Granch joined the cast in later seasons. Many of the cast previously featured in other Netflix works produced or distributed in Spain and Latin America.
Elite explores concepts associated with teen dramas. It also features more progressive issues to its clichés. These include many diverse sexual themes. The series employs a flashback & forward plot that involves a mystery element, with each season taking place in two timelines.
The Renewal Status
The first season was released on Netflix on 5 October 2018. It received positive reviews from critics and audiences.
Also, many hailed the series as a “guilty pleasure”, and praised its writing, acting, and portrayal of mature themes. In January 2020, Netflix renewed the series for a fourth and fifth season.
Elite Season 4: Release Date & Cast
Netflix has officially renewed Elite for season 4. Netflix tweeted this on 22nd May 2020.

However, several cast members will not be returning. Also, Ester Expósito, Danna Paola, Álvaro Rico, Mina El Hammani, and Jorge López have all left the show. Filming on season 4 is underway, but it was reportedly halted in August after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19.
The Storyline
As Elite Season 4 will star a predominantly new cast, we are not sure what the plot will be. Season 3 ended with Guzmán, Samuel, Rebeca, Ander, and Omar still in Las Encinas. Therefore, we expect that season 4 will explore what happens to them when they cross paths with a whole new set of students.
