Grimoire of Zero Season 2, the title itself details the subject matter of the series i.e. a book of spells (Grimoire). The anime is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Kakeru Kobashiri with illustrations from Yoshinori Shizuma. The novel has even been awarded the Grand Prize at the 20th Annual Dengeki Novel Awards. The animated adaptation, led by White Fox studio, premiered on 10 April 2017. With so much more left to be explored, are the creators planning to come back for Season 2?

Grimoire of Zero Season 2 Official Announcement
No official claims have been made regarding the renewal of the series for a second season. The first season ran from 10 April to 26 June 2017 spanning for 12 episodes. The series has already won the Grand Prize at the Dengeki Novel Awards and even has a manga adaptation along with high ratings of 7.1/10 as per myanimelist.net. These factors can securely map out the future of the series and be persuasive enough to bring back the show for a second season.
Grimoire of Zero Season 2 Release Date
The show has only had one season till now, it doesn’t even have any OVA specials. Moreover, there is still a lot of content that can easily make way for another season. The light novels already have 11 volumes and are still ongoing. We don’t know the exact reason as to why the show hasn’t been renewed yet, but it definitely can’t be credited to the lack of source material because there is plenty of that. Let’s see if 2020 or 2021 brings some good news our way.

The Storyline
The series has a fairytale-like setting, one that may remind you of the likes of “Beauty and the Beast”. The story forges an unlikely alliance between a creature who is half-man, half-beast, and a witch named Zero. The Mercenary dreams of becoming a human and are so promised by Zero. However, she puts up a condition that he has to accompany her in the search of a magical book that can otherwise be weaponized by evil opportunists.
