Another addition to the list of Supernatural animes is Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2 or Kakuriryo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits. The show has been adapted while taking the light novels written by Midori Yuma, with illustrations from Laruha, as its foundation. The first season came out with 26 episodes in April 2018 and now we’re trying to figure out if Season 2 is on the cards in the future.
The premise of the series is very fanfiction-like, where the girl has to pay for one or her family member’s doings. Just to spice it all up we also happen to have a supernatural monster claiming to abduct the girl. This melodramatic storyline is basically a retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a culinary twist. This kind of anime can be switched on to make oneself feel better and light since it doesn’t involve any complex or tangled up concepts. Although the plot is something that we’ve already heard of, it still makes us feel good. The more you dive deeper into this anime, the better it gets. The initial cliched origin story soon changes its trajectory and funnily enough, Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2 becomes all about food!

Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2 Official Announcement
We’re still holding our breaths for the announcement of the show’s renewal for a second season. But it looks like we’ll have to wait longer to hear any authentic news regarding this matter. A lot of shows have been either canceled or postponed due to the outbreak of the pandemic, moreover, the studio responsible for this show hasn’t even hinted anything about a sequel. If there are any further changes about Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2, we’ll let you know ASAP!
Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2 Release Date
What charts out as any romantic comedy plot, eventually became a favorite among the audience for its light-hearted storyline. The first season on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, BS Fuji, and AT-X for the Japanese viewers, and the English dubbed version was broadcasted on Animax Asia. It was originally aired from 2 April to 24 September 2018 for 26 episodes. We’ve often had to wait for years for the renewal of a show and the same could be followed in this case as well. Let’s see if we get any updates about Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2 in 2021.

The Storyline
The story introduces us to a college student named Tsubaki Aoi who has the ability to get in touch with the supernatural. She can see spirits known as “Ayakashi” just like her grandfather who was her sole protector after being abandoned by her mother. Aoi has always been friendly towards these spirits but one day when she goes on to feed a hungry Ayakashi, he abducts her and carries her to the “Hidden Realm”.
Upon reaching this place he claims that Aoi has to marry him as a payment for her grandfather’s old debt. To this Aoi declines but goes on to say that she will pay for her grandfather’s debt by working for him. Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2 hope will come soon!
