Gossip is the crux of social media and magazine sites. Several magazine sites will do just about anything to sell their content, even if it is tarnishing the reputation of another person. Such a case recently occurred when rumors were being spread on the internet about “Katie Holmes becoming broke.”
The rumor was started by NW, who wrote an article allegedly claiming the Batman Begins start going bankrupt. The article preposterously stated that Katie Holmes had to sell her Los Angeles mansion worth $6 million Dollars because of severe financial reasons that were troubling her and her daughter’s life.
Moreover, the article went forward and stated that “She hasn’t had a hit since Batman Begins,” according to a supposed insider. Adding to that, the article stated that Katie Holmes just did “cheesy C-grade” TV shows and movies after her performance in Batman Begins, absurdly making critical comments on Holmes’s professional career in the film industry.
It doesn’t end there! The tabloid also said that Holmes couldn’t afford her expensive mansion anymore, which is why she had to sell it and had to work in advertisements for “Quaker Oats and Breyers” to “make ends meet.” Such claims and so-called “facts” were just published to tarnish her reputation or to sell cheap content.
Additionally, more insulting statements were alleged by the “Informant,” which went on saying Holmes didn’t want financial help from Tom Cruise after they split up, which is something she was dearly regretting now. To add a cherry on the top, the mysterious tipper said: “you have to wonder if she’s regretting that now that she has to take public transport and wear raggedy old clothes.”
In actuality, Katie Holmes and her daughter’s Suri are doing really well. Katie Holmes is financially stable and, according to Gossip Cop, is doing really well and receives $400,000 from Tom Cruise annually for child support.
Conclusively, all the rumors of Katie Holmes being broke or bankrupt are false and have no evidential backing to support them. This time, rumors are just rumors, and we need to stay away from them.
