American teen romantic comedy film Kissing Booth announced its sequel on Valentine’s Day this year. Netflix, which broadcasted the first installment, announced plans for the sequel with a promo featuring the movie’s two stars Joel Courtney and Joey King.
It is not surprising that a sequel was declared, considering the very first part of the film on Netflix in 2018, which was a hit. ‘Kissing Booth,’ written and directed by Vince Marcello, is based on the novel of the same name by Beth Reekles. Similar to the first installment, The Kissing Booth 2 is based on Reekles’ second book in the same series, The Kissing Booth 2: Going The Distance.

Kissing Booth Sequel: Expected Plot
Netflix gave a rough synopsis about the sequel, which stated that Noah would go to Harvard, and Elle goes back to high school for her older year. The couple thus will enter a long-distance relationship. Elle will have to juggle her long-distance relationship when she moves into her dream college with her best friend Lee (played by Joel Courtney).
There may be some issues along the way, but Joey hopes that Noah and Elle can continue to be together as he told Seventeen. The sequel will follow the love-life of Elle (played by Joey King) and Noah (played by Jacob Elordi) as they try to handle their long-distance relationship.
Kissing Booth Sequel: Cast
Joel Courtney and Joey King are confirmed to return since they featured in the teaser of the movie. Jacob Elordi will also be returning to the cast for the sequel. The other cast expected to return is Molly Ringwald, Meganne Young, Morné Visser, Bianca Bosch, Carson White, and Tyler Chaney. Netflix has also announced that two new characters will be joining the film. Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez are the new entrants who will be joining the cast.

Kissing Booth Sequel: Release Date
Netflix hasn’t announced the release date yet, but the announcement is expected soon. The sequel is scheduled for the streaming service sometime this spring, but the ongoing coronavirus pandemic can delay the release. There is no official trailer of the new movie yet, but a teaser can be seen on social platforms of directors and cast.
