Kuroko no Basket Season 4: Release Date, Synopsis and Discussions!

The phrase “Just the name is enough”, comes alive when animes like Haikyuu or Kuroko no Basket Season 4 are concerned. Kuroko no Basket or Kuroko’s Basketball is one of those few animes that set the tempo from the first episode itself, and only picks up even after that. The sports-driven series is based on the manga created by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. This one’s our personal favorite and it’s safe to say that it’s up there in the list of our all-time favorites. The previous 3 seasons and a follow-up movie have considerably covered all the volumes of the manga but our love for this show never gets old. Despite its happy conclusion and all, we’re hoping that Production I.G brings the show back for Kuroko no Basket Season 4.

The storyline of the series follows the familiar path of underdogs trying to attain glory. Regardless of what one may say about this repetitive angle, it never fails to delight the audience. Moreover, the story dives deeper into each character, exposing their multidimensional facets, which only adds to the savoring flavor of the overall plot. The developing friendships between the characters over the past 3 seasons have warmed all of our hearts and made us long for such relationships in our lives as well.

Kuroko no Basket Season 4 Official Announcement

To be honest, it seems highly unlikely that the series will put forward a fourth season. The constant demands from the fans brought about the release of “Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie: Last Game” which adapted the “Extra Game” manga. The name of the movie clearly suggests that it was in fact the “last” ride. If the production studio changes its mind and decides to bring out another addition to the series, then we will notify you.

The Storyline

Basketball fans, here’s a quick message for you. Don’t look for explanations or try to rationalize the game after watching this show. The basic laws of physics don’t apply to Kuroko’s Basketball.

Teiko Middle School puts together a Basketball team that soon gives rise to legendary and unbeatable regular players collectively known as the “Generation of Miracles”. On growing old, each of the team members joins a different high school and becomes a treasured asset for their particular team. This group of 5 players is deemed so formidable that even high school players are threatened by them. Later on, it comes to everyone’s attention that the Generation of Miracles rather consisted of 6 members, not 5. Seirin High School brings Kuroko, the 6th invisible player, and Taiga Kagami faces to face. Together they embark on a journey to challenge the Generation of Miracles along with their senior team members, thereby proving that the game of Basketball isn’t a solitary one but a team sport.
