Amazon prime’s hit series Mirzapur is all set to return to the web-streaming platform in 2020. Mirzapur Season 1 became a rage in India and is extremely popular in India. Mirzapur is a story of two brothers from a middle-class family in a small city in India who enter the world of mafia, drugs, and violence.
The city of Mirzapur is run by infamous mob-boss Kaleen bhaiya/Akhandanand Tripathi (Pankaj Tripathi), who runs a cartel of drugs and supplies local made pistols under the covers of running a carpet industry of Mirzapur. Realizing lack of opportunity in their city Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Bablu (Vikrant Massey) join Kaleen bhaiya, and with their wits and bold attitude soon became the right-hand man of Kaleen bhaiya much to the dismay of Munna (Divyendu Sharma) son of Kaleen bhaiya. Police also monitor their rise and try to take them down. Due to various misunderstandings and careless words, the relationship between the two brothers and Kaleen bhaiya becomes strained and leads to bloodshed.
STORYLINE
Details about the storyline of season 2 are not out yet, but recently released first look shows Golu (Shweta Tripathi) holding a gun something which was believed impossible in season 1 and Guddu holding crutches. A teaser for season 2 was also released back in November 2019, which showed two burning funeral pyre and the iconic throne of Kaleen bhaiya with Kaleen bhaiya saying in the background that everybody comes and leaves,. Still, he decides when someone leaves, indicating that season two will be as action-packed, thrilling, and bloody as season 1. The storyline may focus on Guddu taking his revenge on Kaleen bhaiya while facing fire from police and the new leader of a rival gang from another town.
Extended Cast
Apart from actors mentioned above cast includes Rasika Dugal and Harshita Gaur and Kulbhushan Kharbanda also star in the show. Any details about new members joining the casting have not been revealed yet.
Farhaan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani serve as executive producers of Mirzapur. The official release date is not announced yet.
