Monster Musume, a Japanese Anime series, directed by Tatsuya Yoshihira and scripted by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, was aired from 7th July 2015 to 22nd September 2015. Monster Musume Season 2 is expected to be released soon. In Japan, the first season was aired on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS, BS11, and AT-X.
Monster Musume Season 2: Story So Far.
Monster Musume features a group of creatures known as ‘Liminals’, half-animal, and half-human. Previously living in secret, their existence was confirmed by the government when they proposed a law for a cultural exchange program between humans and ‘Liminals’.
The law allows the creatures to live with humans to study the culture and lifestyle of humans. But each liminal should have its own master and cross-creature sexual intercourse is forbidden by the law.
In the first season of Monster Musume, Kimihito Kurusu, one of the participants of the cultural exchange program, gets Miia delivered mistakenly to his door. Miia, a half-snake-half-human creature tries to seduce Kimihito despite the law clearly forbidding them to do so.
In Later episodes, other Liminals also reside with him, like Papi (half-bird), Centora (a centaur), Suu (an amoeba-like creature) Meroune (a mermaid), Rachnera (half-spider), and Lala (who can detachable head).
The Announcement and Possible Season 3
With an ending as vague as Season 1, 2nd Season is completely inevitable and it has also been confirmed by the makers of the show. Unfortunately, as of writing, no release date has been announced.
But according to fan speculation, the release date should be somewhere around late 2020 or early 2021, which may again be delayed due to the current corona-virus pandemic.
With the popularity of Monster Musume, there is no way that show-runners would end the show at 2 seasons, and especially with the Manga series still going on, they have plenty of content to continue the show.
With season 2 being released around late 2020 to early 2021, we can theorize that season 3 will be released around late 2021 to early 2022.
The Cast of Monster Musume Season 2
All the cast members of Season 1 would be appearing again on Monster Musume Season 2, including Ari Ozawa as Papi, The lead character, Junji Majima as Kurusu Kimihito, Sora Amamiya as Miia.
Other cast members returning for Monster Musume Season 2 includes Natsuki Aikawa as Centorea, Haruka Yamazaki as Mero, Mayuka Nomura as Suu, Ai Kakuma as Lala, Sakura Nakamura as Rachnera, Yu Kobayashi as Ms.Smith, Saori Onishi as Doppel, Rei Mochizuki as a zombie.
