The Trial and error of bringing the most favorite video game on silver screens have come to an end. Fans across the world will come across a reboot of ‘Mortal Kombat, ‘ which is produced by James Wan. According to the producers, the movie has completed its shooting and has gone into the tedious phase of post-production. The film is going to release in January 2021.

After ‘Mortal Kombat’ hits the shelves in 1992, it became a must-have game on the racks of every game lover. ‘Mortal Kombat’ is known for its violence and intricate fighting sequences, and it is well known in the world of media professionals that negativity attracts the audience, and so did this legendary game did.

The earlier attempts of turning ‘Mortal Kombat’ into a movie was not as successful as its producers thought. Still, there is a lot of expectation from the producer James Wan and Todd Garner and also the first time director Simon McQuoid who will be working with the screenplay written by none other than Greg Russo.

The cast of this movie is filled with many familiar and new faces like Joe Taslim (Sub-Zero), Hiroyuki Sanada (Scorpion), Chin Han (Shang Tsung), Ludi Lin (Liu Kang), Jessica McNamee (Sonya Blade), Josh Lawson (Kano), Tadanobu Asano (Raiden), Mehcad Brooks (Jax), Sisi Stringer (Mileena) and also Lewis Tan whose role is still skeptical.

Turning such a compelling video game into a successful and complimenting movie is a big challenge for its makers, but since they have taken up such a problem, all we can do is wait with our fingers crossed.
