Episode 15 of My Hero Academia‘s fourth season is titled “Smoldering Flames.” It will release on the 25th of January, 2020. The English dub of the Japanese anime can be streamed on popular platforms like Crunchyroll and Funimation.
The previous episode stunned audiences as a significant character bid farewell to the series. Mirai Sasaki, also known as Sir Nighteye, died in front of Deku; he had sustained mortal injuries in the fight against Overhaul and Chronostasis, who are members of Shie Hassakai. Deku and Eraser Head had fought alongside Sir Nighteye, with Deku even managing to defeat Overhaul.
In another high spoiler of Episode 14, Overhaul, while retreating from his battle with Deku, runs into Shigaraki; the former ends up losing both his arms as Shigaraki seeks to make him Quirkless.
The upcoming episode will show how major characters deal with the death of Sir Nighteye. There could be more revelations about Shigaraki’s intentions; maybe he is planning an attack against the weakened heroes, mainly because they are one-man short now. Fans should not expect an action-heavy episode.
My Hero Academia is an anime adaptation of the manga series of the same name. The story follows Izuku Midoriya (Deku), a boy born without superpowers (called Quirks) in a world where they have become commonplace, but who still dreams of becoming a hero himself. He is scouted by All Might, Japan’s greatest hero, who shares his Quirk with Deku after recognizing his potential, and later helps to enroll him in a prestigious high school for heroes in training.
The anime series has been running continuously since April 2016. It is directed by Kenji Nagasaki and written by Yōsuke Kuroda. The anime has received considerable praise worldwide, and fan reception has been positive too. Polygon, Crunchyroll, and IGN have all reviewed My Hero Academia as among the best anime series of the previous decade.
