Nicki Minaj’s other family member is being charged with a grim criminal charge. Nicki’s older brother, Jelani Maraj, is charged with sexual assault. He may also be facing life-sentence for raping a 10-year-old girl.
Jelani Maraj is the elder brother of a famous rapper, Nicki Minaj. He was born in Trinidad. Maraj had moved to New York with his now-famous sister at the age of 10.
The siblings were separated from their dad at an early age. Their dad used to struggle with alcohol addiction. The siblings were then placed in their grandmother’s house.
He was arrested in 2015 and convicted due to the predatory sexual assault against a child. The charges he is tied up with include sexual conduct forced on a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
When the trial was taking place, a 10-year-old witness had bravely come up to be a witness. He declared in the court that he was present in the place where the criminal had done his deed. After that, Jelani had threatened the boy to shut his mouth not to visit the girl again.
The boy’s testimony had brought most of the members in the court to tears. The crime scene is horrible and terrifying to imagine. He explained that Jelani’s underwear was at his feet at the time he had come into the room.
