Disney’s one of the most successful movie franchise is Pirates of the Caribbean. At the time of the production of the first movie, everything was stacked against the production house. According to box-office history, despite good actors and plot, none of the pirate’s themed movies were successful at the box-office. Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of Black Pearl changed all that and movie went on to become one of the biggest grossing movies of 2003.
Pirates of the Caribbean 6 Expand for Profit
Relying on the success of the first movie, Disney decided to expand the pirates’ universe by adding two more movies in the franchise. All the movies in the franchise performed well at the Box-Office. In addition to that, the titular character Captain Jack Sparrow portrayed by Johnny Depp, became extremely popular.
Bigger was not better
Production House showed faith in the franchise and decided to further expand the universe by releasing two more films. Although the last pirate’s movie failed at the Box-Office yet the studio confirmed a new movie back in 2017. Furthermore, it was also confirmed that Director Joachim Ronning would return as Director.

Out of the blue reports came suggesting that Johnny Depp is sacked by Disney for abusing his wife, Amber Heard. Production House neither admitted nor denied this. Moreover, the reports also suggested that the Production House is planning to replace Captain Jack Sparrow with a new female pirate called Redd.
Pirates of the Caribbean 6 Release Date, Plot and Cast
The plot of the sixth movie is kept under wraps, but the movie is probably going to pick up from where the fifth movie ended. Star Cast of the original franchise such as Orlando Bloom as William Turner, Keira Knightly as Elizabeth Swan along with new actors such as Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth and Brenton Thwaites as Henry Turner may return.
It is still doubtful, but we may see Johnny Depp reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow because of a new audio recording that establishes his innocence. Additionally, fans are demanding that the studio hire Johnny Depp back to play Captain Jack Sparrow.
