Rent a Girlfriend Season 2 is an upcoming anime series based on a manga written by Mitsutaka Hirota under the direction of Kazuomi Koga, an adaptation by TMS Entertainment. Premiered by MBS Super Animism in July 2020. This series is based on a romantic – comedy manga series, the Kanojo Okarishimasu by Reiji Miyajima.
Rent a Girlfriend Season 2 Storyline
Its plot revolves around Kazuya Kinoshita. Mami Nanami betrays Kazuya, after a month of the relationship. Moreover, he decides to rent a girlfriend online because he was not able to deal with his tragic emotions. He uses an online application and found a girl named Chizuru Mizuhara, a beautiful and attractive girl. although it was new for him, he didn’t hesitate to go on a date with her.
However, everything doesn’t go right on their first date. Kazuya was happy at the first. But soon he realized that she behaves the same with all her clients. The situation starts heating up, they began to shout at each other and Kazuya leaves angrily.
Yet, his grandmother collapses in the hospital and he hires Chizuru again. While her grandmother feels good after knowing about her grandson’s girlfriend. They decided not to meet each other, later they realized they can’t stay apart from each other. Things became complicated when they came to know they belong to the same college and live in the same colony.

Season 1 is about to end, it’s sad news for the viewers. In contrast, its unconcluded end gives rise to hopes for season 2. Creators haven’t made any official announcements about season 2.

- Kazuya Kinoshita: The protagonist, a 20-year-old college student, lives in Tokyo. His girlfriend betrays him and he rents Chizuru as her girlfriend. His character was voiced by Shun Horie in Japanese and Aleks Le in English.
- Chizuru Mizuhara: A college student who works as a rental Girlfriend for a diamond company. She is proud of her exceptional rating by her clients. She lives in Kazuya’s colony and they went to the same college. Her character was voiced by Sora Amamiya in Japanese and Lizzie Freeman in English.
- Mami Nanami: The girl who betrayed Kazuya in the beginning, voiced by Aoi Yūki in Japanese and Laura Stahl in English.
- Ruka Sarashina: Chizuru’s friend who works as a rental girlfriend for another company. She wants to date Kazuya. Her character was voiced by Nao Tōyama.
- Sumi Sakurasawa: A shy girl who works with Chizuru, later she ended up developing feelings for Kazuya. Her character was voiced b Rie Takahashi.

Rent a Girlfriend Season 2 Release date
The creators of season 1 have confirmed that Season 2 is returning in Fall 2021. This has been confirmed at the end of Season 1 of Rent a Girlfriend and Crunchyroll as well. They have confirmed that Season 2 of Rent a Girlfriend will be returning in the Fall of 2021.
