“Your Name” is a 2016 Japanese animated masterpiece film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai, animation direction by Masashi Ando, and produced by CoMix Wave Films.
Your Name tells the story of Taki, a high school boy in Tokyo, and Mitsuha, a high school girl in a rural town, who suddenly and inexplicably begins to swap bodies. But this swap is not consistent and keeps switching sporadically between their normal states.
This sudden disturbance initially leads to a lot of funny situations where Mitsuha’s family assumes that she is under some demonic possession because of her all of sudden newly masculine habits. Taki’s s case was the same; his friends started wondering about his changes.
Both of them deal with awkwardness because of their bodies and understanding about it. This shows lots of old school romance. Not going to give you guys further details.No spoilers for Your Name 2!!!
The Official Announcement
Fans demand a sequel, but the chances are slim. Shinkai is not known for making sequels of any of his work. This is an incredible film. Whether you are an anime fan or not, you are going to love this. This is beyond beautiful. Everything about this film is perfect, whether it’s animation, cinematography, editing, etc. “Your Name ” is simply a classic example of Makoto Shinkai’s work. Well, we can still hope for another season soon! Post the Pandemic the Show will release. Fingers Crossed!
