Scream Season 4: Has the show been renewed for a fourth season?

Scream : The TV Series is an American “slasher” series created by Jill Blotevogel, Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie for MTV. The third season of the show was picked up for a renewal and was shifted to the Vh1 from MTV, developed by Brett Matthews. The show is based on the iconic movie franchise of the same name. We’ve curated the content of this article to desmystify the status around Scream Season 4.

The ratings of the show started rising once the third season started anew. The last season presented a completely new setting and starry cast. Season 3 titled “Scream: Ressurection” came out with an all-round attractive cast including RJ Cyler, C.J. Wallace, Tyga, Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Jessica Sula, Giorgia Whigham, and Giullian Yao Gioiello. The reboot showered some hope on the franchise as it was deemed better than the two previous seasons on MTV, but again, it can’t be called a HUGE success.

Scream Season 4 Official Announcement

The confirmation for Scream: Ressurection came on 24 June 2019. However, the creators of the hsow haven’t shed any light on the renewal or cancellation of Scream Season 4. If ever the show is considered for another season, then it would happen owing to the comparatively better ratings of the reboot.

Scream Season 4 Release Date

The reboot was telecasted from 8 July 2019 on Vh1. There were six episodes in the last season with the last one airing on 10 July 2019. Until now there is no clarity regarding the studio concerned coming back for another season. It seems that the show has in fact been forgotten by a lot and the possibility of its renewal is sombre at the moment.

Scream Storyline

The reboot brought new characters with it, the protagonist being Deion Elliot (played by RJ Cyler). Set in Atlanta, Deion who has made a name for himself through football is haunted by his past in the guise of Ghostface which also puts his friends and family’s lives at stake.
