Shokugeki No Soma aka Food wars is a Japanese Anime Series, produced by J.C. Staff and directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani, premiered its pilot episode on July 6, 2019, and will close its curtains of the fifth season on September 25, 2020. The show has been hit on its platforms like Tokyo MX, BS11, Animax, Abema TV. Fans are now waiting for Shokugeki No Soma Season 6 as Season 5 has finished its run.
Shokugeki No Soma Season 6 Storyline
The Lead character of the anime is Yukihira Soma, a young chef, who works under the tutelage of his father. He then takes admission in Touchiki Culinary Academy, the most prestigious cooking school in Japan. Season 1 ended with Yukihira Soma winning the Autumn Elections Preliminaries.
In 2nd Season, Soma passes the Stagiaire by preparing a French take on chicken and egg rice bowl and returns to Touchiki Culinary Academy and becomes prepared to face anyone who tries to challenge him in Shokugeki. The 3rd Season concluded, with the rebels winning and getting the seats of Elite 10.
In the climax of 4th Season, Soma wins the 1st Seat of the Elite Ten and defeats Tsukasa in Shokugeki. Megumi goes off to travel the world to learn more about different food cultures. Meanwhile, Erina becomes the director.
The finale of Season of 5 is yet to air. With the final episode scheduled to be released on the 25th of September.
Shokugeki No Soma S6 Official Announcement
There has been no announcement of Season 6 so far, with the finale of episode 5 yet to air, There is a 50-50 chance that we will actually get to see Season 6. It all depends on the finale episode and how the series is concluded. If there any plot point left to explore or some story arc left unfinished, then definitely, we will get a new season 6. But if it concludes perfectly, one can only hope for the creators to pick up some manga content that was not used.
Shokugeki No Soma Cast
Shokugeki No Soma isn’t a violent or a bloody show, with most of the characters engaging in cooking competitions. So most likely, everyone will be back for the new season. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as the main character Yukihira Soma, Hisako Kanemoto as Erina Nakiri, Minami Takahashi as Megumi, all can be expected to make a comeback if the Season 6 gets announced.
Shokugeki No Soma Season 6 Release Date
As already mentioned, there are no plans, that have already been announced for a reprisal of Season 6. It all depends on how the finale goes. So, let’s say that the finale doesn’t conclude all the story arcs. So, our speculation for the announcement of season 6 would be somewhere around late 2o20. And if the show gets announced around late 2020.
The writing, acting, editing, marketing, and all would also add up the time. Making the release date go beyond 2020 or even 2021. So our best guess, of the release would be around late 2021 to early 2022.
