That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a television anime series based on Japanese fantasy light novel series of the same name illustrated by Mitz Vah, written by Fuse. The series animated by Eight Bit follows a man who is reincarnated in another world as a slime named Rimuru after he was killed. season 1 aired from October 2, 2018, to March 19, 2019, on Tokyo MX. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Release Date
The second season has been announced and scheduled to premiere in October 2020 but due to the Pandemic hit and wrapping up of productions, it has been postponed to air on January 12, 2020.
The Storyline
While the fans wait for another season to air, let’s take a look at what happened in the previous season. the series directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi, assistant director Atushi Nakayama focuses on Satoru Mikami, an office worker killed one day after being stabbed. we then see him awakening in an unfamiliar fantasy world baffled to be reincarnated as a slime that possesses many skills that he dreamed of.
With a mind-blowing friendship between the slime and the ancient dragon that he befriends named Veldora who is centuries old, Rimuru Tempest’s journey as a slim start. A world filled with an extraordinary slime with special abilities, dragons, goblins, dire wolves, elf, it’s a full packed entertainment package.
At the end of season 1, Shion and Shuna are seen in Rimuru’s torturous tug of war after he made a cushion in his image.

Funimation has announced that they will be offering the English dub release for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 2 for next year.
