Expanse is a web series that is mostly based on the book series by James S. A. Corey of the same name. The sci-fi mystery revolves around the future humans that have colonized the solar system and Mars has developed into an independent army. The rising action takes place when the tension between Earth and Mars starts building up.

The Plot

As we mentioned earlier, season 5 is based on book numbers 5 and 6. And in the fifth book, Nemesis Games, the Rocinante crew struggles to survive as the ships around them start vanishing mysteriously. Meanwhile, some armies are being secretly formed.

Moreover, the sixth book follows a group of Belters in black military ships that have crippled the Earth and have begun a violent campaign amongst the outer planets.

The fifth season will more or less follow this story of the two books with some changes.
