The Iron Mask: The Ultimate ‘Jackie Chan’ v ‘Arnold Schwarzenegger’ FIGHT by ‘Kill Bill’ Makers

Signature Entertainment today received a little surprise for the action movie lovers in the form of a new trailer for The Iron Mask. The film has endured quite a few changes to the title and has had a long and complicated release path.

Nonetheless, none of this necessarily counts as the film will feature Jackie Chan fighting for the first time on the screen against Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Two of the most legendary action heroes in cinema go toe-to-toe. Which alone would be enough. Luckily, as evidenced by the trailer, this movie also has a lot more to do with it.

In reality, this is a sequel to the Forbidden Empire of 2014, aka Viy. During its release path, it has had many names, such as Viy 2: Journey to China and Dragon Seal’s Mystery.

However, the title is somewhat irrelevant since this trailer has so much going on it’s hard to worry about what it’s called. We begin in an old-time prison, where the character of Jackie Chan has been taken into custody.

In addition to wearing a pretty magnificent beard, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is in the uniform of a British military officer. He is in charge of keeping him there. Schwarzenegger makes no attempt to sound English, but rather delightfully. As once said by the great Ken Watanabe, let them fight.

The Iron Mask:

The Iron Mask takes place during the 18th century and centers on Jonathan Green, an English traveler, as he travels from Russia into China.

On his journey, during an incredible but deadly adventure, he encounters dragons, black magic wizardry, and a dragon king. In one of his last on-screen appearances, the cast also includes the likes of Jason Flemyng (X-Men: First Class), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), and the late Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner).

The film, directed by Oleg Stepchenko, released last year in China and Russia. Luckily, soon enough, the rest of the world will get to see it. It is set to arrive in the UK at theatres. On April 10, and will then be made available through On Demand as well as through Signature Entertainment. Be sure to check yourself out for the new trailer.
