About The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2
The Quintessential Quintuplets is a manga series that started from August 2017 to February 2020 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine. The story revolves around Fuutarou Uesugi, a high school student, who is hired to tutor the Nakano Quintuplets. As the story progresses in season 1, it was revealed that Fuutarou Uesugi is to be married to one of the Quintuplets. Many hints were given as to who the Bride of Fuutarou is in the season but it isn’t revealed. The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2 was supposed to be aired in October 2020, but due to pandemics and the declaration of a state of emergency, the release date is postponed to January 2021.
The Plot
As for now, the story goes that, Fuutarou is gifted in academics. His mother has passed away and his father has lots of debt. So, when the Nakano Quintuplets join his school they are in the need of a tutor. For that Fuutarou is hired as the highest-paid tutor. But tutoring the Quintuplets is not a cup of tea.
Though all the Quintuplets look similar, they have varied personalities. Some of them accept him but most of them are even against Fuutarou entering their house as he is the stranger. They are even not keen on studying. In all of this, there is one thing.
Fuutarou has to get married to one of the Nakano Quintuplets. But who? Though throughout the season hints were given like she is one of the Nakano Quintuplets, she has both of her ears pierced, and that she held Fuutarou’s hand during a school camping trip. Fuutarou Uesugi is looking for someone like his energetic mother and a good cook.
The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2 Release Date
The production for the second season is going to change. The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2 is to be produced by Bibury Animation Studio and directed by Kaori at the helm. Artist Masato Katsumata (Azur Lane) is going to be both the character designer and chief animation director. Let’s wait for the mystery of the bride of Fuutarou Uesugi be unfold in January 2021.
