The journey of the Tower of God series began a decade ago on 30 June 2010 on the Korean platform Naver Webtoon. It is the first webtoon to have been adapted as an anime. Released as a Crunchyroll Original Series on 1 April 2020, it has also become the reason for the increasing viewership of the original manhwa. A total of 13 episodes are there in the first season that ended in June. The rising popularity of the anime leaves us hopeful for a Tower of God Season 2. Now let’s gather all that we know about it.

Tower of God Season 2 Release Date
Since we haven’t received any official announcements for a second season, our safe bet is to estimate a date closer to April 2021 for the release of season 2. Although, it wouldn’t come off as a surprise if the date is pushed back due to the ongoing pandemic.
Till then you can read more about Gleipnir Season 2.
The Storyline
The Tower Of God plot centers around a boy name Twenty-fifth Bam whose trapped under a tower along with only one other person named Rachel. The tower plays tricks on them and allows only certain people to enter. The ones who are chosen have to face various lethal creatures and eventually engage in battle with them. Their wishes can be granted only if the results are victorious
*SPOILERS AHEAD!!!*
As most of the audience saw it coming, Rachel deceives Bam at the end of the first season. This leads us to the right to the arc meant for the second season. It’s bound to be focussed on Rachel’s betrayal as Bam tries to figure out why she did it.
New characters named Jue Viole, Grace, and Ja Wangnan will also be introduced ahead and more light will be shed on Bam, Khun, and Rak, as can be deduced from the webtoon.
The future of the Tower of God series!
As far as the adaptation is concerned, 78 chapters of Tower of God Season 1 webtoon have already been utilized in the first season of the anime. But there is still a lot of the story left to be developed further for Tower of God Season 2.
There are more than 300 chapters in season 2 of the webtoon, which leaves hope for the renewal of the anime for a second season. However, nothing can be perceived regarding the future of the show after that.
The webtoon is currently stuck as the author SIU has expressed his concerns about his physical as well as mental health. He’s been constantly struggling with the manuscripts for the same. Hence, nothing can be said about the aftermath of season 2 for now.
