I will say that one of the most underrated shows of all time is ‘Giri/Haji,’ whose first season got released on Netflix this month after it was telecasted on BBC in October. It is one of the most famous British shows. It’s thrilling, adventurous, smart, and the intriguing storyline keeps the audience enthralling till the end and leaves then to ponder a lot about what’s going to happen next. That’s why people are dying to binge of the Season 2 of ‘Gigi/Haji’ whose confirmation will come anytime soon.
The creators of this show are both the Japanese and British hence it is set in the dark alleys of London and Tokyo. Renowned Japanese Actor Takehiro Hira is a detective who travels to London to find his presumably dead brother who happens to have killed the nephew of a Yakuza Gangster for whom he worked. The plot is filled with mysteries and surprises.
Kelly Macdonald is playing the part of a British detective constable called Sarah Weitzmann, who helps Kenzo Mori(Takehiro Hira) on his quest to find his brother and to prevent breaking of a gang war in Tokyo. The movie is directed by Julian Farino, who is a hugely acclaimed Britsh director, especially his works like ‘Our Mutual Friend,’ which won four BAFTAs, including Best Drama.’
Being in both Japanese and English, it might give a bit of a problem to its viewers, but with the help of subtitles, we can easily comprehend the mysteries unfolding on the screen.
It is for sure that there will be a Season 2 of this Crime-Thriller, but its viewers are still clueless about the plot or how the story will move forward.
