Hwarang Season 2 is an upcoming historical romance South Korean television series. Park Eun-Yeong wrote the series starring Park Seo-Joon, Go Ara, Park Hyung-Sik, and Choi Min-ho. Yoon Sung-Sik and Kim Yeong-jo directed this series under the production of Hwarang SPC and Oh! Boy Project.
Hwarang Season 2 Plot
the plot of this series is set in the kingdom of Silla. After the death of king Beopheung, Queen Ji soo ruled the Kingdom. She kept her son away from her outside the capital, Seorabeol. She kept him away to keep them safe from their Enemies and Assassins. However, when Sam grows up and becomes mature everyone in the Kingdom becomes impatient for the queen to transfer the powers. But, the Queen fears the consequences. As the powerful nobles tried to take over her Throne. Hwarang Season 2 coming soon?
The nobles gained powers from the bone rank system. Consequently, to break the powerful Nobles She decided to create the Hwarang, a new Elite group. Hwarang will cut the existing powers of the privileged ones. As a result, it will bind everyone to protect Sam and the throne. However, this group of male youths grew but no one knew that Sam is the future king. And, Kim Seon-u was hiding a secret which he himself doesn’t know. Hwarang Season 2 will start from here?
The Official Announcements
Since the makers didn’t come up with any official announcement regarding Hwarang Season 2. Also, the series didn’t have a concluded end. However, fans are expecting a sequel for this series. But we have to be patient until the makers announce the details about this series.

The Cast
However, if the makers are in a mood to renew Hwarang Season 2. Then, most probably the previous cast would return. As the makers can’t compromise with its cast because the cast made this series lovable. Hence, we expect the following artists to return in the second installment:
- Park Seo-Joon as Kim Seon-u
- Go Ara as Kim Ah-So
- Park Hyung-sik as King Jinheung
- Choi Min-ho as Kim Soo-ho
Hwarang Season 2 Release Date
As stated above, the makers haven’t come up with any official announcement about the second installment of this series. However, if the makers are in a mood to renew this series with some new twists, most probably it will release in 2022 or 2023.
