Fairy Tail is a Japanese manga that premiered on TV in Tokyo on October 12, 2009. The show has had 9 seasons so far with the last episode “Dearest Friends” airing on September 29, 2019, with a total of 328 episodes in the box. The show has been directed by Shinji Ishihara. The show also has had video games and movie adaptations as well. So far there hasn’t been any news about Fairy Tail Season 10. All we have are rumors and leaks from the anime industry.
Fairy Tail Season 10 Storyline
The show centers around the character called Lucy Heartfilia, a Mage. She encounters Natsu Dragneel, who is looking for his foster parents. Also, a dragon named Igneel and his best friend Happy, a blue-colored talking and flying cat.
Lucy then gets kidnapped by Bora of Prominence, disguising himself as Salamander of a Fairy Tail, Natsu then rescues her and it is revealed that he can slay the dragon, lost magic.
He then tells her about a guild, which Lucy happily accepts its membership. They then meet other members of the guild Erza Scarlet, Ice-Make Gray Fullbuster, and Happy. Together with form, a group called Fairy Tail.
In the final season, Acnologia gets killed by Natsu. The show then skips to one year later, where Lucy has written a novel based on the experiences with the guild.
The Official Announcement
The writer of the show Hiro Mashima said that the last season of the show would be the 9th Season. Hence, there is a slim chance probably 0.9 % percent chance that a new season would happen. The final season also seemed like the last episode of the show, considering that all the arcs were completed. Fans can only hope for a spin-off or a reboot at this point instead of Fairy Tail Season 10.
The Cast
Season 10 is probably not coming back, but if the show creators throw a surprise for the fans then it is more than likely that the cast members would be coming back as well. Meaning, Aya Hirano as Lucy Heartfilia, Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu Dragneel, Rie Kugimiya as Happy, Yuichi Nakamura as Gray Fullbuster, and many others would probably be coming back for the 10th installment.
Fairy Tail Season 10 Release Date
Season 10 has been canceled based on the latest announcement by Hiro Mashima. However, it not unusual for the show creators to lie to their own fans, for the sake of a big unveiling. But there is a limited time span for that to happen. So, the best guess would be somewhere around 2022-2024. If the studios are planning for a reboot or a spin-off, then an announcement should be coming in a few months, the release date would be the same 2022-2024
