‘Hataraku Maō-same!’ which was translated as ‘The Devil Is A Part Timer,’ was a popular stint in not only Japan but other parts of the world too. Tokyo MX helped out with the premiere in Japan, which ended in June 2013, while later on, Funimation launched the series in North America and other parts. KBS, SUN-TV, BS Nittele, TVA, and AT-X were the other channels that put up the series on their platforms just because of the immense popularity it has.
A Renewal: Confirmed Or Rejected?
The 13 episodes released then were enough to prompt fans to have the want for another season, but unfortunately, we haven’t heard any confirmation from either the producers Sotsu, Lantis, Pony Canyon, Magic Capsule, Infinite or White Fox, the studio responsible for the series.
However, it’s been years after the release of season 1, but the light novel from which it has been taken has enough content to bring out season 2. The light novel series has a total of 20 volumes, and The Devil Is a Part Timer season 1 has taken only a few of them. So, the hope can be held now too, and also, the makers haven’t denied a sequel.
Are Light Novels Coming Regularly??
ASCII Media Works that is responsible for the release of ‘Hataraku Maō-same!’ disappointingly haven’t published the next volume for a long time, and no announcement has been heard about the same. A release of manga light novel’s next volume does not take so long, and this action can crush all the hopes that fans have.
What Happened Till Now??
You can’t miss on such a popular series, but if you had, then let’s have a recap first. ‘The Devil Is A Part Timer’ has introduced us to Hero Emilia Justina who defeats the antagonist Demon Lord Satan and eventually to escape; he reaches out to Modern Japan through a portal where Emilia follows him. They both faced the problems of getting adjusted to the world while not being recognized.
Plot: What’s Next??
The next season if coming, would have an interesting plot where we can see the bad Demon Lord Satan turning into a good one when he lives as a human being in Modern Japan. We can see him using his powers for humans’ development and can help them. This is a unique thing that we have never seen anywhere and can fetch commercial and critical appreciation.
