Knightfall is a 2017 historical fiction drama series. It was created by Don Handfield and Richard Rayner for the History channel. The series was filmed in the United States and the Czech Republic, it recalls the fall of the Knights Templar by King Philip iv of France in 1307. Knightfall Season 3 anytime soon?
Knightfall Season 3 Release Date
The first and Second seasons of Knightfall premiered in 2017 and 2019 respectively but the series has been canceled by History Network for season 3. Not all hope is lost though, Netflix can pick up the series for production but that depends on ratings and critical reviews which were not so great after season 2.

The Plot
Knightfall circles around the mysterious accounts of the history of an elite group of warriors of the Crusades, the Knights Templar. The heroic tales of the knight’s Templar have inspired many popular stories, one of which is the Jedi knights of Star Wars.
The infamous date of Friday the thirteenth has been stamped onto the psyche of the world by the dark events that followed the Templar. This story explores many different events. From the battles in the holy land to the clash with King Philip iv of France which led to the demise of the order of Templar on Friday 13th, 1307. The day is still remembered and likened with dark forces.
This series reveals the secrets protected by them and the story of loyalty and brotherhood that will inspire us all.
The story of Knightfall begins after the Templar’s last stronghold on the holy city of acre falls and the holy grail is lost in this siege. Many years have passed when all of a sudden clues start to come forward about the whereabouts of the holy grail that might be in France. This event sends the Templars led by mighty and courageous knight Landry on the mission to find the lost cup of Christ and the reason behind his mentor’s death.
The Cast
Knightfall stars Tom Cullen as Landry De Lauzon, Jim Carter as Pope Boniface VIII, Padraic Delaney as Twain, Simone Merrells as Tancrede, among others.
