Season 3 of ten episodes was released on Netflix on November 1, 2019.

Season 3 of Atypical shows how Sam tries to figure out college life and what success means to him while also dealing with the pressures of growing up.
Season 3 also focuses on Casey’s struggle with her emotions towards Evan and Izzie.
Paige struggles with not fitting in at her dream school.
Elsa preps for a life without Doug and applies to colleges but Elsa and Doug reconcile at the end of season 3.

What to expect from Season 4?

In the final season, we’re expecting all the remaining loose ends to be tied up before the end of the 10th episode.

Season 4 of Atypical will probably see Casey and Izzie’s emerging relationship especially since we’ll likely see Casey’s life shift significantly as she hopes to go to UCLA.

The final season will presumably also show development in Elsa and Doug’s relationship as they navigate through their past mistakes and look into a future together.

As with Sam, it seems like in the last season of the show he will be moving in with Zahid while maintaining his job at the tech store.

The Cast

As of now, no announcement has been made for new characters and cast members. We can expect the same cast to return in Atypical season 4 as well. Keir Gilchrist will return as the penguin-loving, Jennifer Jason Leigh as his overprotective mother Elsa, Brigette Lundy-Paine as his younger sister Casey, and Michael Rapaport as dad and husband Doug.
