Babylon Berlin is a German neo-noir (revival of the genre of film noir) television series. The series is based on novels by German author Volker Kutscher. It was first premiered on Sky1 in October 2017.

The writer and director of the series are Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries, and Hendrik Handloegten. Babylon is the most expensive German series managed to earn critical acclaim. The series gained attention internationally; therefore, 3 seasons have been premiered until today.

Recently season 3 is released on January 24, 2020, and concluded on 28 February 2020. Entire season of 12 episodes is streaming on Netflix. The season follows Rath and Ritter, as they try to solve a murder mystery of a female actor who dies while filming a performance.

Set amidst the tragic Black Friday stock market crash and a failing democracy under the Nazi rule of Adolf Hitler, the season throws light on the events created by the clash between the secret organization of the German Reichswehr army and several communist political groups.

What is new in Babylon Berlin Season 4?

To date, there is no official announcement of release for season 4. But there is a high chance of show coming back with season 4. The show has gained massive popularity, and viewers expect the show to come back with a bang. If everything sets perfectly, the show will be back to us in February 2021.

In season 4, we can expect to see Rath and Ritter, solving another murder mystery, in a Nazi-infested Berlin, while also dealing with their personal issues.

There may be new faces appearing in season 4. Except for the same old characters, returning characters Peter Kurth as Bruno Walter, Matthias Brandt as August Benda, Leonie Benesch as Greta Overbeck, Severija Januska as Svetlana Sorokina, Lars Eidinger as Alfred Niesen, and a few others.
