“Bad Boys 3” is a series of ‘Bad Boys For Life’ franchise and is the sequel to the film ‘Bad Boys 2’ after its massive success in 2003. “Bad Boys 3” is an American action comedy film starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, released in the United States by Sony Pictures on 17th January 2020.
It was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Will Smith, and Doug Belgard. The story was written by Peter Craig and Joe Carnahan, and they also did the screenplay along with Chris Bremner. According to the reviews given, the film received positive feedback, which is appreciable.
“Bad Boys 3” is the second biggest MLK holiday moneymakers for the weekend, breaking the record with $68M, while American Sniper was the biggest hit. ‘Bad Boys For Life’ stood as the top movie at the theaters this weekend.
Unfortunately, the third series-opening was quite less compared to the massive records of the second sequel but succeeded in giving new bragging rights to Sony Pictures. It is an R-rated picture. According to the recent reports, there would be a sequel to the third series in the following year.
The director of the first two series of the franchise, Michael Bay, stated that he might also direct the third sequel, but was out of budget as Will Smith demands the highest in the industry. Columbia Pictures had hired Peter Craig to write the script for the third series.
Sony Pictures has first announced that “Bad Boys 3” would probably release on 17th February 2017 but was pushed to the further dates later and had also removed the third sequel form their schedule and stated that this might not happen. In February 2018, they planned to restart the schedule with the directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
