For almost two years, British model Cara Delevingne and Pretty Little Liars star, Ashley Benson were the definitions of couple goals. The supermodel, 27, and the actress, 30, split in early April, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE magazine.
One source says that Delevingne and Benson ended their relationship in April, adding that Delevingne has been spending time with friends including Margaret Qualley and her sister Rainey Qualley, as well as Kaia Gerber, while self-quarantining amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
“Cara and Ashley always had their ups and downs before but it’s over now,” the source tells PEOPLE magazine. “Their relationship just ran its course.”

Delevingne and Benson were first spotted together when they were photographed kissing at London’s Heathrow Airport in August 2018, and have been snapped being affectionate together many times since.
The Confirmation
Delevingne confirmed their relationship in June 2019, right before the TrevorLIVE Gala when she told E! News that she shared an Instagram video kissing Benson in honor of the Stonewall Riots’ 50th anniversary and their first anniversary.

“I don’t know because it is Pride, it’s been 50 years since Stonewall happened and I don’t know,” she told the outlet. “It’s been just about our first anniversary so, why not?”
The supermodel then opened up about being in love in the October 2019 issue of ELLE UK, telling the magazine, “It just feels incredible when you’re not alone, when you’re facing the world with someone else.”

A tweet sharedon 9th December 2019 from Cara Delevingne’s Twitter account claimed she had broken up with Ashley Benson. But we can all calm down because it definitely appeared to be a hacker. Also after posting the breakup tweet, they posted a dubious link to iPhones.

Not long after, all the messages had been removed and relationship balance restored. Neither Cara nor Ashley commented on the post themselves.
The rogue tweet came just days after Cara left a cheeky comment on a semi-nude snap Ashley had shared on Instagram.

Giving an update on where they’re at now, another source has told E! News Ashley has moved out of Cara’s place and is staying with pals, and that they’re officially “moving on”.
The insider also said the former couple hadn’t had “a lot of contacts” since the split and “feel like it’s over and it’s better if they go their own ways.”
