‘Christian Bale’ is CONFIRMED playing Beta Ray Bill in ‘Thor Love and Thunder’
Beta Ray Bill has become a trending topic on social media ever since the rumors of the potential casting of Christian Bale in the fourth installment of Thor film franchise, erupted. ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’, was officially confirmed last year, making Thor the first character to have four independent films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The audience was quick to make speculation about which character should be played by Bale and immediately associated with him with the fan-favorite Beta Ray Bill, who rivaled in Thor in the comic books.
The character of Beta Bill Ray had played a crucial role in the comics and even rose to become one of the most appreciated characters in the Comic’s multiverse with a well-defined history and even justified actions. He is known to possess similar abilities as that of Thor and adorns an outfit similar to that of his mythical counterpart.
In the original comic book run, he was the only non-mythical character from the folklores to be worthy of wielding the Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor. And eventually became the true bearer of Stormbreaker, which made an appearance in the ‘Avengers: Infinity Wars’ and in ‘Avenger: Endgame.’
In the end, the character was captured by Skrulls and fled to earth, where he was helped by Thor, though he succumbed to the Super-Skrull when Skrulls invaded the earth.
A sculpture of Beta Ray Bill can be briefly seen in ‘Thor: Ragnarok ‘ on the palace of Grandmaster on Sakaar, and with the introduction of Stormbreaker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character’s future appearance in the MCU might be hinted at by the creators which inadvertently fuelled the curiosity of their audience and has fans on edge ever.
Taika Waititi will be returning as the director for the film along with Chris Hemsworth, returning as the titular character.
