About Good Omens Season 2
Good Omens is a short series based on the book called Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. The series is directed by Douglas Mackinnon and created by Neil Gaiman himself. The production of Good Omens is done with a collaboration between Amazon Prime Video and BBC. The first season of the show got its official release in May 2019 and since then fans are waiting for Good Omens Season 2.
Good Omens Season 2 Release Date
The writers of Good Omens, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett have an interest in writing a second season for the series. There is no official announcement for season 2 yet.
Season 1 Recap
The first season is centered around the angel Aziraphale and his demon friend Crowley. They have been existing since ancient times. Over time, they have grown fond of humans and the world. Aziraphale and Crowley successfully prevent the destruction of the world from an 11-year-old Antichrist and a final battle between Heaven and Hell. At the end of the series, Adam (antichrist) finally becomes a human. Both angel and demon end up receiving death sentences. They escape from death by switching their bodies. Ultimately, they left hell and heaven and choose the side of humanity. Their idea is that good and evil are equally necessary for this world.
Expected Plot
Good Omens season 1 never showed the origin of hell and heaven. The speculations are that the upcoming sequel will cover the existence of angels and devils. It may also unravel the rest of the prophecies.
The Cast
The angel and demon duo will continue. Michael Sheen as Aziraphale and David Tennant as Crowley are fixed for the sequel. There are possibilities that new characters will also introduce in the series.
