Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash is a Japanese Anime series based on the light novel by Ao Jumonji of the same name. It was produced by A-1 Studios and directed by Ryosuke Nakamura. The show was aired on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Nippon BS Broadcasting, and the Asahi Broadcasting Corporation. The show only has had one season, with 12 episodes featuring in it, with its pilot airing on 11th January 2016 and the last episode airing on 28th March 2016. And Creators are most likely going to return with Grimgar of Fantasy And Ash Season 2.
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash Season 2 Storyline
The show features a group of six friends; Haruhiro, Manato, Yume, Shihoru, Ranta, and Moguzo, having no idea where they came from, they then register as Trainee Volunteer Soldiers. Haruhiro is mentored by Barbara, the master of the thieves guild, their job is to hunt down creatures and sell the collected parts.

In one of their adventures, Manato gets killed, he gets replaced by Mary, who turns out to be non-co-operative. Mary redeems her when she purifies each member of the group after they were attacked. In the end, Haruhiro succeeds Manato as the leader of the group.
The Official Announcement
As of now, there is no official announcement about Grimgar of Fantasy And Ash Season 2, but looking at the popularity of the show, there is a chance that the studios would make an announcement sooner rather than later. The show currently has a rating of 7.5 on IMDb, proving how good the series was with its fans. It is not uncommon for Anime shows to be renewed after four to five years. So there is still some hope.
The Cast
Most of the cast members of the original season would be back if Grimgar of Fantasy And Ash Season 2 gets announced. Yoshimasa Hosoya as Haruhiro, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Ranta, Fukushi Ochihai as Moguzo, Mikako Komatsu as Yume, Haruka Terui as Shihoru, Chika Anzai as Merry, all of them should be back. So our best guess would be the mid-2021- to late 2021.
