Although nothing has been set in stone yet, there is a strong possibility of a sequel. The finale of the first season recorded the highest viewership to date. The makers of the show confessed that the cast members have given their nod for a second season and the writers would need more time to prepare the script for the sequel. They don’t know when the second season would premiere.

The Storyline

Hot Stove League follows the ups and downs of the baseball team called,’ Dreams’. The team has been the worst in the league for several years and as a result, their former general manager resigns. Baek Seung-Soo is recruited as the new General Manager. He has a ‘golden resume’ despite not having any experience in baseball.

All the teams he handled before had numerous wins but they got disbanded in the end for reasons that were not in his control.  Baek Seung-Soo aims for the top spot and finds a solid partner in the form of Lee Se-Young, Operations Manager. She is the first female baseball team manager. She has been working for ‘Dreams’ for years!
