The Plot
This is a romantic story of a genius pâtissier who opened a new bakery and bakes the bread that grants wishes and a tv show writer who invade his bakery to cast him.
This new bakery in Noh Mi Rae’s neighborhood quickly becomes so popular that there are lines of customers waiting every morning for it to open. Mi Rae discovers that the reason behind such popularity of the bread is that it has some mysterious powers that can grant wishes. Ha, Doo woo thinks about his first love every morning while he bakes the pieces of bread. All the emotions of sorrow and longing are poured into the batter as his love is now dead, this gives the bread its power.
Doo woo is shown as an aloof and restrained man but his personality changes when he is baking. We can witness the loving gaze he has for the baked goods. His art of baking is masterful.
Described as a workaholic, Mi Rae has a rather loving personality. She is kind and helpful towards her neighbors and everyone in general. She is also very passionate about her job as a scriptwriter. We do see her sitting wherever whenever an idea strikes her and see it through until the end. She is given the job of bringing Do to woo to appear on the show which he has no intention of doing.
The characters are complicated and the story is captivating which makes the recipe perfect and a whole lot delicious for this show.
