Here comes another addition to the list of Isekai animes. How Not to Summon a Demon Lord or Isekai Mao to Shokan Shojo no Dorei Majutsu is the name of the starry series based on the Japanese light novels written by Yukiya Murasaki and illustrated by Takahiro Tsurusaki. The novelization was also published in English by J-Novel Club. By 2018, this series had already sold over a million copies of the novels. Moving on to the anime adaptation, the series has officially secured a Season 2 that is set to release in 2021. The first season was worked on by the studio Ajia-do Animation Works that has now passed on the baton to Tezuka Productions for the How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Season 2.

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Season 2 Official Announcement
The official announcement for the renewal of the show for a second season came during the Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2020. The title of the second season was also revealed during the Expo to be “How Not to Summon a Demon Lord: Omega“. The same was also posted on Crunchyroll’s official Twitter account on 8 April 2020.
How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Season 2 Release Date
Season 2 is set to premiere in 2021, but a specific date for the same hasn’t been mentioned by the creators yet. The first season of the series was aired on 5 July 2018 for 12 episodes.

The Storyline
Takuma Sakamoto has isolated himself from his surroundings and engrossed himself in the world of video games. One day this shift occurs literally, and he is sucked into the virtual world of the MMORPG “Cross Reverie” where he inhabits the persona of his character, the Demon Lord Diablo. It’s soon revealed that he has actually been summoned by the Panthers Rem and Elf Shera. Various life-changing adventures await Takuma in the virtual world that has now become his real world. I Hope How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Season 2 takes up the story from exactly where they left in Season 1.
