Knights of Sidonia Season 3 is not only a mecha manga series but also a space opera by Tsutomu Nihei. It is serialized in a magazine called “Afternoon” between 2009 to 2015 by Kodansha.
An anime adaptation by polygon pictures aired between April and June 2014 and then again between April and June 2015. kabun shizuno together with Hiroyuki Seshita directed Season 3.
Knights of Sidonia Season 3 Plot
The first thing to remember is that it is fiction and so the genre is action, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi. It’s been thousands of years since earth and all the solar system was destroyed by a shape-shifting alien called gaunas. For what remained of the earth massive spaceships were created and a portion of humanity managed to escape. One such ship is the Sidonia.
Over the years drifting through space Sidonia developed its own culture maintaining a population of 500000 people. Nagate tanikaze a space dweller been born and raised in the metal house of humanity.
To protect humanity huge robotics weapons called Gardes are introduced and negate is piloting the legendary gardens. Defending humanity against the ultimate enemy ” Gauna”.
The Cast
Even though it’s been only two seasons but there might be some changes with the crew and casting peoples. But the main protagonist of the series will remain the same who is negate tanikaze played by Ryota Osaka in Knights of Sidonia Season 3.
The Announcement of Knights of Sidonia Season 3
The last time we heard about anything related to this manga series was rumors about Season 3. Even though the production team is working since 2017 for the new season, the premiered will be soon.
The best guess is 2021 as it is first going to be releasing in japan then on any other media.
